Sexy School Uniform

When I first read the comment voiced by the Vice President of National Islamic Students Association of Malaysia, Munirah Bahari concerning our schoolgirl uniform, I somewhat have to agree when she said,“The white blouse is too transparent for girls". Ingat tak movie Azura, starring Ogy n Jamal Abdillah? Scene di mana Azura kena halau dengan dari rumah sebab bercinta dgn Zack, hujan lebat, Azura pakai baju kurung sekolah, Azura basah lencun. Aku kecik lagi waktu tengok movie tu tapi sampai sekarang boleh ingat babak Azura seksi. Hehe.. kecik2 dah gatal ;p

And for myself, I still remember one time when I was around 11 or 12 years old... A group of friends consist of 2 boys and a girl insisted to follow me home after school. Tak berani nak ajak masuk, kitorang lepak je kat luar rumah. But I was not aware that someone was watching. Orang gaji aku, yang sememangnya sangat penyebok, rupe-rupenye bersembunyi di belakang langsir and was ear dropping each and every word of our conversations. When my friends left, she started membebel panjang and her words I remember most was, "Kak Long tau tak, budak laki tu asyik tengok baju dalam Kak Long." Cheh!! Memang dasar penyebok! Tapi aku perasan jugak sebenarnya mamat tu asyik menjeling2. Tension betul! Nak kata boobs factor, I don't think so la sebab masa tu my chest was still flat like an iron board! But I guess what attracted him was my lace-elaborated white camisole, which was clearly visible under the white school uniform. Was it fair to label him a pervert? Or was he just behaving like every other school boys? If you ask me, I would choose the latter as my answer, and put the whole blame on my sheer white baju sekolah.

But then again, as much as I wanted to agree with Ms Munirah, I find that her full statement in her blog to be quite disturbing. First of all, men were insulted when she said “Di sinilah punca yang boleh kita saksikan bahawa pelajar perempuan itu sendiri mempunyai daya tarikan supaya lelaki mendekatinya. Oleh itu terjadilah perkara-perkara seperti pencabulan, penzinaan dan sebagainya” because clearly here, men were portrayed as mindless creatures with uncontrollable sexual urges. Secondly, she was wrong to stress that the schoolgirls were the one who lure themselves into being rape or sexually harassed because the well known fact is a perpetrator choose his victim based on vulnerability, not the victim's attire. Thirdly, about the pre-marital sex thingy, ehem... lets just say that kalau dah gatal tu, gatal juge. Didikan lebih berkesan dari memaksa seseorang menukar pakaiannya. And finally, I find it outrageous bile cik kak ni kata sikap pelajar perempuan yang tidak tegas menjadikan mereka mangsa cabul. Wah.. sangat nak marah dengar komen ittew ok!

Now, with all that been said, marilah kita menimbangkan semula cadangan Ms Munirah kita supaya "Kementerian boleh menukar baju putih kepada baju berwarna kerana ia tampak sesuai dan tidak jarang untuk dipakai oleh pelajar perempuan". Whether we like it or not, we cannot deny the fact that coloured uniform is definitely less transparent than white. If not, why some school make camisole compulsory for girls kan? So, if not white... what colour should it be then? If you ask me, I'll be more than happy to suggest grey school uniform (think international school student). Very cute, aren't they? And most importantly, less transparent.

Dan sebagai penutup dan peringatan kepada diri sendiri, ingatlah bahawa menutup aurat itu suruhan Allah kerana tiada yang lebih mengetahui melainkan Dia. Wallahualam...
